Quantinuum, a leading quantum computing company valued at $5 billion, has announced a significant achievement by creating the largest Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state using logical qubits, achieving a fidelity exceeding 98%. This milestone demonstrates a substantial leap forward in the development of more powerful and precise quantum computers. The company's work was highlighted at the Q2B conference and showcases their advances in quantum hardware and software. This achievement builds on their recent success, including the creation of 50 logical qubits at 98% fidelity.

This progress towards practical quantum computing was achieved through their quantum charge-coupled device (QCCD) hardware offering all-to-all connectivity, their new in-house programming language allowing complex logical circuits and co-design work with Microsoft and CU Boulder. This enables the development of highly effective error correction codes. This allows for any two qubits to connect and entangle, an improvement to older designs, as well as an anticipated workflow which allows researchers and developers to work together to make better algorithms.
